Strictly Come Dancing star Matt Di Angelo has split from dance partner Flavia Cacace after eight months together

The 21-year-old former EastEnder began dating the professional dancer after they met on the set of the BBC1 celebrity dance show.

But the relationship has fizzled out and Matt has been spotted enjoying the company of Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton – who recently split from husband Andy Scott Lee.

Flavia, 28, has also moved on and is thought to be back with former partner of 11 years and fellow Strictly dancer Vincent Simone – who she split with during the autumn series.

Flavia's spokesperson had 'no comment' when asked about the couple's split.

A source said told The Sun: “It’s a huge shock to everyone and they are both devastated it’s over.

“Because they met on the set of Strictly their relationship got very intense very quickly.

‘They were spending every day together and living in each other’s pockets. They became incredibly close.”

But Flavia’s working relationship with Vincent on the Strictly Come Dancing tour earlier this year put a huge strain on their romance.

The insider added: “Everything was OK while they were dancing together but after Flavia started working with Vincent again things got a bit awkward.”

Matt and Flavia’s sizzling chemistry on Strictly Come Dancing had viewers on the edge of their seats and won them a legion of fans.

The pair lost out to singer Alesha Dixon and her partner Matthew Cutler in the nailbiting final.
