Sensational at 75: Dynasty star Joan Collins still reigns in style stakes

Updated 17:29pm on 3 Jul 2008

The love of a good man is obviously keeping Joan Collins young, as her latest age-defying appearance illustrates.

The Dynasty star put in a dazzling turn at a Paris catwalk show, occasionally waving a black fan as she swanned around the room with her trademark style and grace.

Joan, who was accompanied by her fifth husband Percy Gibson, 43, looked as glamorous as ever in a black and white frock, mingling among the crowd of fashionistas, many of whom are more than half her age.

Big fan: Joan Collins and her fifth husband Percy Gibson attended a fashion show in Paris on Monday

She looked fresh and rested after her recent relaxing trip to St Tropez, where she holidayed aboard a luxury boat.

Just a month earlier she celebrated her 75th birthday in the South of France with a party held at the luxury villa of millionaire entrepreneur Simon Reuben.

Percy had sworn guests to secrecy over the lavish surprise party.

Guests included Oscar-winning composer Leslie Bricusse, who once worked on a series of hits with Joan’s late ex-husband Anthony Newley, and his wife Evie, celebrity photographer Terry O’Neill, food writer A.A. Gill and jeweller Theo Fennell.

She met her current husband when she toured in the play Love Letters in the US in 2000 and he helped edit her novel Star Quality.
