Christie Brinkley broke down yesterday as she told a court how her pornography obsessed husband cheated on her with a 18-year-old employee.

The 54-year-old former supermodel said: 'My world was completely shattered.'

Taking the stand on day two of the sensational trial, the 54-year-old also revealed her true feelings about architect husband Peter Cook.

'I think a certain amount of anger would be perfectly normal,' she said.

'After all I supported this man for almost ten years, he never paid for a single thing and he lived a wonderful life all the while he was carrying on like this behind my back.

'It goes without saying that there was a certain amount of anger.'

The former cover girl is battling for custody of her two children Jack, 13, and 10-year-old Sailor at Central Islip Supreme Court in Suffolk County.

Brinkley first challenged 49-year-old Cook's claim that their children had no inclination about his addiction to online pornography.

She recalled working side by side with son Jack at the computer as he researched ancient Sumeria on the Internet for a school project.

Brinkley told the court: 'Suddenly a pornography slideshow pops up that was stored on the computer and it was like pictures of women piled on women.

'It made me wonder what else could he come across on the computer. What else could Jack inadvertently uncover.'

The former supermodel went on to discover Cook's profile on an online swingers site.

'It was not a voyeur site,' she said. 'It was to put people together and that was more than I could really bear.

'The man who I was living with, I didn't know who he was.'

Brinkley claimed the profile offered to take woman shopping or even pay cash for sex.

She also discovered evidence of Cook's romp's with his teenage mistress at a vacant property the couple purchased as an investment.

There was beer and wine stocked in the fridge and a bed in an otherwise empty house.

'The sheets had been rumpled and there was a long black hair in the bed,' the blonde Brinkley recalled.

The court heard how Brinkley first learned of her husband's infidelity at a school graduation ceremony in June 2006.

She had just delivered the commencement address, when a man approached her as she left the podium.

As pupils collected their diplomas on stage, the man whispered into her ear.

'Suddenly, I heard these words, "That husband of yours just won't knock it off. He's having an affair with my teenage daughter and that bastard won't knock it off and I have to come to you",' Brinkley said.

The man was Brian Platt, stepfather of then 19-year-old Diana Brianchi, the office assistant who'd been working in Cook's office.

'I said, "What did you say?" At this point my eyes were fading out at the edges, this tunnel vision in a way,' Brinkley recalled.

She stared at Cook and seeing him look on in horror as Platt spoke. Her husband shook his head, she said, and repeatedly mouthed the word 'no'.

'I looked at Peter and he was just going "no" and I thought it's true - he did that,' she added.

Confronting him afterwards, she recalled shouting at him: 'How could you?'

Brinkley added: 'And he said, "You are not going to believe that man over are you? ...

'The man's a drunk ... He's murdered somebody and you can't believe a word he said".'

Realising that she could no longer trust her husband, Brinkley described driving away from their home. 'I just started driving away from the perfect life,' she said.

She claimed Cook threatened to commit suicide several weeks after she discovered his affair.

Cook phoned her up in a hysterical state: 'He was sobbing and said he was driving erratically and that, "I'm going to drive into a tree."

'I said, "Pull over. You need help." He said, "No, I'm going to kill myself." Then I spent the rest of the day trying to find a place he could go to get help.'

Earlier, Brinkley's best friend Jill Rappaport recalled the moment the former supermodel told her of her husband's philandering.

Rappaport, who first introduced Brinkley to Cook, found her pulled over on the roadside on June 25, her knees all bloody from sobbing hysterical on the gravel.

"'Please tell me this isn't true, please tell me this is a nightmare,'" Rappaport said Brinkley pleaded.

Cook's lawyer attacked Brinkley's emotional testimony, referring to her acting background.

Brinkley responded with a laugh, declaring, 'If you want to call me an actress, that's fine. I'm no Meryl Streep, but I have been in a very successful movie.'

Brinkley had a small role in successful 1983 comedy National Lampoon's Vacation.

She added: 'Thirty years later, it's still got legs, what can I say? Thanks for the promotion.'

Outside the court yesterday, Cook also criticised his estranged wife's testimony, declaring: 'Shrek was more believable.'

Miss Bianchi claimed on the stand on Wednesday that Cook also hid cash for her under a rock and gave her £7,500 to help her buy a Nissan Maxima in 2005.

Cook met Miss Bianchi while she was working at a Hamptons toy store in 2004.
He said he soon hired her to work at his architecture firm, paying her £10,000 to type magazine articles on to the company's website.

Before long, he seduced her while they were working together in the office, she testified.

Leaving court, Cook underlined the bitterness of the 2006 break-up by telling reporters that the Shrek animated film 'was more believable' than Miss Brinkley's evidence.

The couple married in 1996 and she filed for divorce two years ago amid the public scandal over the affair.

Miss Brinkley, who has been married four times and inspired Billy Joel to write the song Uptown Girl, has a daughter, Alexa Ray, 22, with Joel; a son Jack, 13, with third husband Richard Taubman; and a daughter Sailor Lee, ten, with Cook.

Cook adopted Jack shortly after they wed in 1996. The couple are battling for custody of Jack and Sailor Lee.
