Gwen clapped eagerly from the stands as Federer defeated former world number one Marat Safin in one hour and 41 minutes without dropping a set.

Afterwards, she took time out to sign autographs for fans who were pleasantly surprised by the appearance of the VIP cheerleader.

The No Doubt singer and her husband have been firm friends with the world number one for more than two years.

Last week he accompanied the couple and son Kingston to the London zoo while enjoying a day off following his early win against Dominik Hrbaty.

Gwen is expected to remain in London until she gives birth next month.
