Rolling back the years: Gwyneth and Liz show the younger models how it's done at Estee Lauder party

Updated 09:43am on 9 Jul 2008

They've been in the public eye for more than a decade now and have more than enough younger starlets to compete with.

But Estee Lauder veterans Gwyneth Paltrow and Elizabeth Hurley still managed to steal the show at the New York launch of the company's new fragrance Sensuous.

Looking tanned, toned and groomed, the pair who have been fronting campaigns for the company for 16 years between them were striking in black and white mini-dresses.

Show-stealers: Gwyneth Paltrow and Liz Hurley looked better than ever at the New York launch of Sensuous

And it was clear Gwyneth's much documented love of a dramatic shoe is still very much in her fashion focus.

The 35-year-old mum-of-two donned gladiator-style sky-scraping heels that laced up to the ankle.

Liz, 43, opted for a more conservative approach with a pair of classic black peep-toe stilettos.

In the racy new campaign for Sensuous, the two are pictured alongside models Hilary Rhoda, 21, and Carolyn Murphy, 32.

With tousled hair and wearing little more than oversized white shirts, both look better than ever despite being the two older members of the Sensuous quartet.

Knowing she had the campaign to shoot, it's little wonder why Gwyneth has working out so much with trainer of the moment Tracey Anderson and pal Madonna.

She revealed to Harpers Bazaar this month that getting her body back post-Apple, 4, and Moses, 2, has been difficult but worth it.

The actress, who has been the face of Lauder's Pleasures fragrance since 2005, said: 'I don't want to look like a mother who doesn't care. For myself, for my work, and for my relationship, I want to look good."

“In this business, they don't look back, and they're particularly harsh to women. I'm not 25; I'm 35. I'm not someone to discover; I'm someone who people know.

'I mean, it's all ego, but you start to feel like, Oh, no, I worked so hard to get somewhere, and what if I can't get back there again? But, all the while knowing that, I would never have traded one second or done anything differently.”

When you are worth millions and are always in the spotlight, and the egos kick in, they think they are expected to look that good.
And yes they are both very sexy, though I have seen pics of Gwyneth in much shorter skirts than that.
