The Posh pout is back after Victoria's pyjama drama runway scare

Updated 16:44pm on 10 Jul 2008

She was only passing the camera for a moment, but it was long enough for Posh to push out the pout for her familiar trademark pose.

Victoria Beckham finally arrived in London after her plane was involved in a runway scare at Los Angeles airport.

The fashionista was left unnerved - and just a little red-faced - after she was caught up in the frightening drama yesterday.

Posh, along with her sons Romeo and Cruz, had boarded a flight to London which was dramatically halted just before take-off after a bird became stuck in the aircraft's engine.

Emergency crews were called to the runway to extinguish a fire in the engine.

But equally as terrifying for Posh, the ordeal unfolded after she'd changed into standard-issue pyjamas and removed all her make-up.

A witness to the drama told The Sun: 'It was really scary when the pilot suddenly slammed on the brakes. The plane was taxiing down the runway and we were set for take-off.

'We had no idea what was happening and you immediately fear the worst. I was sitting a few rows back from Victoria and her sons, who were at the front of the plane.

'Victoria wasn’t wearing any make-up and had changed into the pyjamas provided by the airline.

'It looked like she kept really calm throughout. She appeared to be comforting Romeo at one point.

'I guess she was as relieved as everyone else.'

Onlookers say Posh stayed aboard the carrier for a quick make-over well after the other passengers were escorted off, and was taken back to the terminal separately with her sons.

An airline spokesman says no one was injured on the jumbo, adding: 'A bird flew into one of the plane's engines just as it started its take-off roll. The engine is being looked at.'

Gosh Victoria without make-up and in standard issue PJs is headline news.... not. Give the girl a break she is after all, human!

Give her a break! She's a mum and was probably more concerned about keeping calm to reassure her children than she was about being caught in pyjamas. If she was that bothered about being seen in them she wouldn't wear them would she.
