Comedian Russell Brand put his cheeky boy charm to good use in London this afternoon as he tried to talk his way out of a parking ticket.

The reformed lothario was wining and dining his new love Teresa Palmer in London's Hampstead  when a traffic warden spotted Brand's Mercedes Benz illegally parked.

Dressed rather unsuitably for the hot summer's day, Brand looked sweltering as he stepped out in black skinny jeans, v-neck t-shirt and blazer, teamed with a woolly hat.

In contrast, Brand's new girlfriend, Australian actress Teresa Palmer was dressed for  the sunshine in a flowery skirt and broderie anglais gipsy top.

After enjoying their sunny lunch in trendy Hampstead, the couple returned to Brand's black vehicle, only to find it being watched over by a ticket-happy warden.

Brand, 33, started dating 22-year-old Palmer in May after meeting on the set of their upcoming film Bedtime Stories, which hits cinema screens in December.

They star opposite Adam Sandler and Keri Russell in the romantic comedy about a hotel handyman whose life in transformed when the bedtime stories he tells his nieces and nephews come true.

In June, it appeared the couple were getting serious about each other after they enjoyed their first holiday together to Mexico.

Brand has been spending an increasingly amount of time in Hollywood since his recent forays into films with roles in St Trinians and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

The actress previously starred in 2007 film December Boys with Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe, who she shared a steamy love scene with, and horror film The Grudge 2.

She has previously dated The O.C. actor Adam Brody, and split from her retired Australian Football League player boyfriend Stuart Dew in March 2007.
