Australian cricket legend Shane Warne failed to bowl over any young maidens last night after spending the evening at a club student night.

The 38-year-old sportsman enjoyed a solo night out at the exclusive Mahiki club in London's posh Mayfair - a popular haunt with young royals and Girls Aloud members.

Despite his infamous reputation as a wild ladies man, Warne left the club alone, possibly after realising he was nearly 20 years older than most of the clientele.

While the dozens of young female students in attendance were dressed to the nines, 'the Warney' look positively scruffy in a black shirt, jeans and scuffed shoes.

Warne insists he has reformed his ladykilling ways after his public infidelity against ex-wife Simone Callahan.

The couple first split in 2005 following lurid tabloid reports about Warne's alleged marital misconduct.

Despite reports they had reconciled, the couple divorced in 2006 after 10 years of marriage and three children together.

During a magazine interview two years ago, Warne admitted he behaved badly during his marriage.

He said: 'There have been times when I have (asked myself) "Why didn't I think beforehand?". I can't answer that question because I don't know. Now you can say that's stupid ... dumb or whatever, but I can't. I'm telling you, that's how it is.

'When you're lonely and you're away for six months, things sometimes just happen and then you regret it afterwards and you think "You idiot".

'I don't call them affairs because an affair, like, to me is someone that you've seen over a period of time.

'I've had a few one-night or two-night stands. I've never fallen in love with anyone. I've never done any of that sort of stuff.

'I've slept with a couple of people and made some poor choices and put things in jeopardy with what I was happy with, and that's my own fault.'

Avid poker player Warne is currently in the capital to promote the upcoming World Series Poker tournament.

Earlier this year, he signed a two year deal with British gaming firm 888 Poker to represent them at international poker events.
