From scrawny schoolboy to beefcake: Teen star Zac Efron bulks up

Disney teen star Zac Efron must have decided the pretty boy look is no longer for him – judging by his muscular new appearance.
The High School Musical honey was spotted looking more beefcake than tweenybopper as he exited a gym at the Toluca Lake Tennis Club in LA.
The newly buffed up star spent an hour lifting weights before hurrying home to co-star girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens.

Efron, 20, has been candid in the past about being teased at school for his height (he is only 5ft 8) and the gap between his teeth.
But coupled with his new heart-throb status and the fact he was voted one of People magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People in 2007, it looks like he’s leaving those cruel school taunts far behind him.
