'I lost a STONE by giving up booze and junk food,' says Danielle Lloyd

Updated 12:18pm on 22 Jul 2008

Party girl Danielle Lloyd lost a stone after giving up booze and junk food.

When the papers called her 'porky' after she was pictured in a bikini, the glamour model took a serious look at her lifestyle.

Danielle said: "I was shocked by the photos. I hadn't realised it, but I had put on a stone in about three months. It was down to the alcohol and McDonald's breakfasts!"

She confessed: "I'd been going out every night, drinking in London clubs. It's terrible, but I could drink up to 10 units a night.

"The drinks were always free and I'd happily work my way through loads of vodka mixed with Red Bull. Then the next day I'd wake up with a hangover and reach straight for the carbs to cure it.

"I'd have a McDonald's Happy Meal and a hamburger practically every day. Then I'd pick at crisps and chocolates, grab a take-away and start all over again."

Danielle started making changes to her lifestyle while she dating footballer Jermaine Defoe but when she found out he had been cheating on her, she lost even more from the stress.

Talking to Closer magazine, she revealed: "I was so stressed and emotional that I started to lose weight quickly."

Now the model is living a much healthier lifestyle.

She says: "Now I drink about seven units over the weekend, rather than more than that every night!"

And Danielle's clearly happy with the results.

She said: "I'm really pleased because my stomach and legs looked toned, and I know no-one's going to be commenting on my wobbly bits because I haven't got any now!"

Former WAG Danielle has gone out with a few of footballers in the past, including Teddy Sheringham and Defoe.

But her love life doesn't appear to stop there.

The model, who came to national prominence during her part in the 2007 Celebrity Big Brother race row, reportedly made one man very happy with a sunny holiday romance in Portugal.

Father-of-two Ramon, from Huddersfield, could not believe his luck when he met  Danielle on a night out in the Algarve.

A source close to him said: ‘He couldn’t believe his luck. It was unbelievable.

‘He was supposed to fly back home the next day with his mates but changed his flights after Dani asked him to stay.’

Danielle's got a lot going on with her recent Gladiator appearance and will be looking forward to making a start in film.

She is currently preparing for her debut in Be All And End All.

But manages to put her supposedly racist views aside in terms of her choice of men...or possibly, the weight loss is down to all the horizontal jogging she must do after those boozy nights out.

I find it much more likely that Danielle Lloyd has lost a stone running away from the anti-nazi league for her repugnant racist views.
