With just over a month until she gives birth, newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky has traded her glamorous stilettos for a more relaxed pregnancy style.

Wearing silver ballet pumps and dressed in a grey cardigan over a floaty black dress the 35-year-old still looked stylish as she headed out from her London home yesterday.

She used a shopping bag from designer maternity boutique 9 London to discreetly hide her growing bump.

Natasha's look was completed by glasses and just a hint of lipstick, a change from the full face of make-up the star usually sports.

The Oxford University graduate became Britain's highest-paid newsreader when she left the BBC to join Five in a £1million-a-year deal.

She boosted viewer figures by 72 per cent when she started on the channel earlier this year.

Shortly afterwards she announced she was expecting a baby with banker husband Justin Bower, who she married two-and-a-half years ago, after they met on a blind date.

The Strictly Come Dancing winner is expected to take a break from work in September.

However, she will not receive maternity leave because she was hired as freelance.
