Balthazar Getty admits marriage is over... but it's Sienna's reputation that's really left in tatters

Sienna Miller's lover Balthazar Getty has publicly announced his marriage to Rosetta Getty, the mother of his four children, is over.
It comes just a week after steamy pictures of the actor and scantily clad Sienna were spotted cavorting around while holidaying on the Amalfi coast.
He said in a statement: 'The breakdown of a marriage is a very difficult and painful experience especially when children are involved.

'In light of the fact that many pictures have surfaced in print and on the internet which has caused myself and my family great embarrassment, I felt it necessary to at least acknowledge publicly that, yes indeed, my wife and I have separated and I will not be commenting any further.'
While Sienna, 26, may have finally got her man, her reputation has been left in tatters.
The actress, who was hoping break the American market with her upcoming film G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, doesn't appear to have won many Stateside fans with her latest antics.

She has been branded a 'homewrecker' with 'no morals' by a number of U.S. blogs - and that is by far the kindest description.
Celebrity observer Perez Hilton has given her an unprintable nickname, which he claims she 'continually lives up'.
But her growing unpopularity doesn't seem to be slowing her down her romance.
There are rumours the pair, who were first linked in June, are looking to move in together.

While Balthazar, 33, reportedly suggested she move into his Los Angeles mansion, which is now empty after his wife and four children moved out, but she is said to be keen to find a new place.
The couple were introduced earlier this year by Sienna's Edge of Love co-star Matthew Rhys, who stars alongside Balthazar in hit U.S. TV show ‘Brothers and Sisters'.
Following the news of the affair, Balthazar's wife Rosetta fled the U.S. with their four children - Cassius, eight, Grace, seven, Violet, four, and June, 10 months - with her.
A friend says Rosetta feels 'humiliated' by the affair.
Meanwhile, Sienna's ex Rhys Ifans is far from being devastated over the end of their year-long romance.
The Welsh actor has told friends: 'You'd think that he would be hurt by the pictures of Sienna and Balthazar but in fact he couldn't be happier. He feels that Sienna has shown herself for who she really is.
'He feels that he has had a lucky escape.'

Certainly, Sienna should not be vilified more than the other party to the liaison when it is he who has cheated on his spouse, not her.

No experience there at all thanks Anon. Was simply asking some different questions and commenting on the main point that no-one knows the facts or what goes on behind closed doors. It's not good to be so judgmental when you only have a media reported side of the story.

This whole story is news to me as I never saw the pictures over the weeks. And going by the readers' comments, if we are going to lay blame at anyone's door (not that either of them are free from blame) it should be this man's as he was in a certificated committed relationship (i.e. marriage) and Sienna was not as far as we know.
The thing that surprises me the most at this headline was that almost exactly 3 years ago, this same action was done to Sienna who was reportedly 'devastated' as you would expect anyone in her situation to have been. So for her to go and put someone else through the same hurt she went through is mind-boggling. In fact, this man's wife will undoubtedly feel more pain than Sienna did because she has the mess of a marriage and upset kids to deal with. Hard as it may have been for Sienna, she could just walk away on her own, free to play the field as it seems she's content to do.
Unfortunately, I doubt very much that their will be any winners in this game.

Oh please, why give Sienna the blame? No matter what a woman offers (on a plate or not) a man can say no, right? He is not a child for gods sake, he can make his own mind up.

It seems that Jo from London has more experience with married men.... thats the only people that find this acceptable...
If they were split before he got together with Sienna then surely he would have publicised it so that he did not look like he was having an affair....me thinks.

God Nicole, get some perspective, instead of giving your gender such a bad name. Men are not dogs, who are expected to eat whatever you offer to them on a plate. As usual, we pander to the gender stereotype of blame the woman for the break up of a man's marriage.
It takes 2 to make a marriage work and 2 to break it up.

It seems that the marriage was over before they started seeing each other? Getty hadn't publicised it that's all as it's his own business. If two adults want to be together surely they can be. No one knows the facts so should just let them be.

Its people like her that make the divorce rate so high! What's a man going to do when girls like her offer it on a plate! I just hope she thinks its worth it because I don't think the public will be so forgiving!

Sienna Miller should be extremely ashamed of herself. Knowing that a man is married but still standing at the window, completely naked, knowing that the paps would be hounding them, is absolutely classless.
