Pictured: The hospital bedroom where Brad and Angelina toasted their twins' arrival

Updated 21:52pm on 23 Jul 2008

Following the announcement that Angelina Jolie had given birth to twins, millions of fans around the world raised a glass to the actress and her partner Brad Pitt.

Now it appears the delighted couple enjoyed a celebratory tipple or two themselves as these pictures of 33-year-old Angelina's hospital bedroom show.

One photo of a bin filled with empty beer cans suggests proud dad Brad, 44, sank a few lagers to mark the arrival of twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline earlier this month.

And Angelina no doubt joined him in the well-earned celebrations.

Other photographs show the bed at Lenval Hospital in Nice, France in which the Tomb Raider actress patiently waited a week and a half before giving birth on July 12.

The babies' cradles can also be seen, as can a sofa where exhausted Brad caught a few hours sleep here and there in the final stages of Angelina's pregnancy.

Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline are the latest addition to the ‘Brangelina’ brand - bringing to six the celebrity couple’s number of offspring.

Angelina checked into the clinic near Nice on July 2 where the babies were delivered by Caesarean section ten days later.

The twins were born one minute apart with Brad by Angelina’s side.

Knox Leon weighed 5lb 3oz and his sister Vivienne Marcheline 5lb.

The couple are now trying to sell pictures of the twins to the highest bidder for charity and are searching for another nanny.

Hear, hear Charlie!

I do not understand the attraction of these two media hugging mediocre 'actors'.

She will be signing up another orphan before these two unfortunately babies can attend nursery class no doubt!
