After months of crazy hairdos Lily Allen has visited the salon again - but this time she emerged with a more natural look.

After experimenting with bleached blonde and shocking pink dos in recent months, the Smile singer emerged from the hairdressers two weeks ago with thick brown locks cascading down her back. 

But yesterday Lily appeared to have returned to her original length, ditching the longer style.

The 24-year-old decided to go blonde in April after breaking up with her long term boyfriend Ed Simons.

She then turned up at The Glamour awards in June with a shocking pink do.

But later that month Lily's grandmother passed away and the star decided to revert to her natural colour as a mark of respect.

Writing to fans on her MySpace internet page she said: 'I'm back to black b****. I got bored of the pink. I can't believe I'm posting a blog about my hair. 

'You may have heard my nan passed away, last weekend, we were close and even though she had been very ill for the last few years, it was a big shock.

'Anyway the point is my nan would have killed me if I went to her funeral with pink hair, so there is another reason.'

Lily dedicated a song to her grandmother at the festival and was later spotted being comforted by her Chemical Brother's ex backstage, sparking rumours the two had reunited.
