Heather Mills' publicist has dropped her after four years and declared Sir Paul McCartney's ex-wife 'impossible' to work with.

Los Angeles based Michele Elyzabeth was so incensed by the former model's behaviour she released a statement about her decision rather than just going quietly.

She told an American TV programme that Miss Mills, who has ambitions to build a career in America since her £24.3million divorce settlement, thought she was God.

Impossible: Heather Mills' publicist Michele Elyzabeth is refusing to work with her after a blazing row

Miss Elyzabeth - who conducted the interview cradling her white lap-dog Bijou - said: 'After working for Heather Mills for the past four years, I have decided to cease representing her.'

'Since her divorce has become final, in my opinion, Heather has become an impossible person.'

She told U.S. TV show 'Extra' she resigned after a final row on Wednesday in which Miss Mills, 40, verbally insulted her.

She said: 'We engaged in a heated argument during which she called me 'stupid'.

'I reminded her that she was not God and she answered, "I will never ever talk to you again."

'I have been very patient in my dealings with Heather, however, I cannot take any more.

'I have given her substantial unpaid time and attention. I am owed money. I refuse to be subject to her outbursts.

'On reflection and given the way I have been treated, I now have sympathy with much of what the British press has reported about her.'

Her decision will strike a blow at Miss Mills desire to promote herself in the U.S.

She has repeatedly said she would like to live in the States where she said opinion is '99 per cent  positive'.

This is not the first time the Miss Mills has been dropped by an exasperated publicist.

Her UK spokesman Phil Hall resigned after she decided to publicly attack the British press in a series of interviews in November last year - starting with a live uncontrolled outburst on GMTV in which she claimed reports had left her suicidal.

The bid for public sympathy backfired after a series of interviews with the British and American broadcast press in which she compared herself to Princess Diana and Kate McCann, mother of missing toddler Madeleine.

Mr Hall said: 'I am loyal to Heather Mills we worked together for two years and I don't think she is a bad person.

'We disagreed over strategy when she decided she wanted to go public and parted as friends.'

Miss Mills was also dropped by her lawyers Mishcon de Reya following the televised rants in which she broke an order not to talk about their four year-old daughter Beatrice.

Despite this Miss Mills told GMTV she found talking on air 'unbelievably cathartic'.

Animal activist Miss Mills married former Beatle Sir Paul in 2002, four years after the death of his first wife, Linda Eastman.

They had a baby daughter, Beatrice, the following year.

She originally demanded £125 million in her divorce settlement but after losing her legal representation was forced to appear for herself in court.

The judge Mr Justice Bennett condemned Miss Mills' evidence as 'not just inconsistent and inaccurate but also less than candid'.

He told the court she 'indulged in make-believe' while Sir Paul was praised as 'consistent, accurate and honest' in his evidence.

It's certainly not the press. The press was created to give us the news.
She enjoys the spotlight...too much...and not in a way that best serves her. It's sad.
