Self-described 'miracle man' Patrick Swayze looked a picture of health as he returned to work for the first time since he was diagnosed with cancer.

The 'Dirty Dancing' star smiled as he appeared on set at the start of filming on began his new project, a television show, 'The Beast' in Chicago, in which he plays an FBI agent.

Swayze smiled in the sunshine and showed little evidence of the pancreatic cancer diagnosis which saw the actor initially given just weeks to live.

I'm really interested in knowing how well Patrick Swayze is doing. I know this must be the hardest part of his life, but I do know, also, his beautiful wife, Lisa, is trying to help him undergo this horrible illness.
From the very bottom of my heart I'm praying every night for Patrick, to recover in health and soul, to go back to his normal life with his wife, his horses and dogs... God bless you, Patrick!

HI, I´m so happy to know that Patrick Swayse is doing well, I have been praying for him because I feel he is not supost to go now. I told my family that I feel he is a man with a good heart and it is not his time, so I always pray for him, and THANK GOD FOR HIS MIRACLE. I´m originally from Ecuador, South America and with my grandmother I learned that if you believe something in your heart and pray to GOD, HE will do the best for you. Now Patrick Swayse do your best!
