Budding actress Emma Roberts inherits her Aunt Julia's Hollywood smile

Updated 11:55am on 30 Jul 2008

Rising star Emma Roberts looked completely at ease as she took to the red carpet for the premiere of her new film in Dublin last night.

And it's little wonder - the actress is, after all, the niece of Hollywood sweetheart Julia Roberts.

It appears the 17-year-old, who stars in the coming-of-age romance Wild Child, has inherited her aunt's charm, trademark smile and even her acting chops.

All in the family: Emma Roberts, the niece of box office star Julia Roberts, flashed her Hollywood smile at the Dublin premiere of her new film, Wild Child

Of the film, Emma says: "It's about a spoiled Californian girl who gets shipped off to boarding school because her dad can't handle her any more. She has attitude. She's sassy.'

The daughter of Julia's brother actor Eric Roberts and his ex-girlfriend Kelly Cunningham is steadily carving out a solid acting career just like her aunt.

She's already turned out with well-received performances in the teen detective movie Nancy Drew and the TV series Unfabulous.

But it seems she is already tiring of the comparisons with the Pretty Woman star, politely telling reporters at the premiere: 'I think it's a positive thing because she's a really great actress, but yeah, sometimes it can be a little annoying.'
