Read all about it: What celebrity magazines are gossiping about this week

Updated 19:34pm on 31 Jul 2008

Sarah Jessica Parker's heartache, Gareth Gates' wedding joy, Britney Spears body bliss and baby shame - it's just another week in the world of celebrity gossip. Here, a round-up of all the latest water-cooler fodder from this week's magazines.

HELLO!

Hello!

Magazine royalty: Kate Middleton graces the cover of this week's Hello! magazine

Media darling and go-to cover girl Kate Middleton graces the front page Hello! this week.

While boyfriend Prince Williams is off in the Caribbean catching drug lords with the Royal Navy, Kate dusted off her fascinator and best frock to attend the second royal wedding of the year.

The 26-year-old aspiring photographer attended Lady Rose Windsor and George Gilman's wedding, leaving royal watchers wondering will she be next to walk down the aisle.

Meanwhile, newly engaged Uma Thurman dodges questions about her wedding plans, but does reveal her ageing fears and her secret to keeping in shape.

There's also marriage in the air for Joan Collins' actress daughter Tara Newley, who announced her engagement to builder Paul Beck.

From wedding bells to baby news, England rugby captain Phil Vickery and wife Kate proudly introduce their newborn son Harrison to the world.

OK!

It's not a celeb wedding without OK!: Gareth Gates and Suzanne Mole

OK!

OK! magazine has given Katie Price a week off cover duty, opting instead for exclusive photographs of pop singer Gareth Gates' secret castle wedding to long-term love Suzanne Mole.

Pop Idol runner-up wed blonde dancer Suzanne in a Leicestershire's Belvoir Castle in front of celebrity guests including Holly Willoughby, Michelle Heaton, Linda Lusardi and David Seaman.

Hollywood beauty Jessica Alba poses with new husband Cash Warren to introduce her new baby Honor.

Protective father Cash admits he hopes their daughter grows up to look like him, 'because a daughter looking like Jessica, I'd kill myself.'

On a more serious note, Big Brother evictee Jennifer Clark reveals how she overcame domestic abuse and urges battered women to get help.

Hot photographs of Hollywood's finest male stars, who are all in their forties, also grace the pages proving that men - well, Brad Pitt - can get better with age.

CLOSER

Closer

Shrinking stars: Jordan and co are too stressed to eat, claims Closer

Weighty issues dominate Closer, with the magazine reporting Britney Spears, Jordan and Cheryl Cole are all shedding pounds because they are 'too anxious to eat'.

GMTV host-turned-author Penny Smith chimes in with some timely comments less than ten pages later, saying she is finally confident with her figure after wasting her twenties worrying about being fat.

Former Coronation star Nikki Sanderson also says she loves her size eight figure but is desperate to improve her fitness.

But pregnant singer Charlotte Church is already concerned about getting a back in shape, and has reportedly asked Jordan for tips to lose weight after she gives birth to her second child later this year.

Anxiety is the answer, apparently.

And pregnancy hasn't been too easy for mother-to-be Billie Piper either.

Friends of the actress claim she has been ill throughout filming the second series of Secret Diary Of A Call Girl.

HEAT

Heat

Hoop of Horror strikes again: Heat catches Sean Preston playing with Britney's cigarettes

Never mind her new bikini body, it's Britney Spears bad parenting skills that have attracted the attention of Heat this week.

The magazine pulls out its 'Hoop of Horror'  for a picture that shows her son Sean Preston playing with a packet of cigarettes.

Meanwhile, party-girl Peaches Geldof hit back at her critics saying 'creative people should be allowed to make mistakes' after her 'overdose' last week.

Yo-yo dieter Kelly Osbourne has lost a stone in six weeks on the 'love diet'.

The Osbourne spawn, who once 'turned to junk food out of boredom', is now preoccupied with her new plaything, model Luke Worrell.

And then there's one that is certainly not for the faint-hearted - an interview with boob-job loving, Jordan-hating Jodie Marsh.

GRAZIA

Grazia

Unlucky in love: Grazia reports on SJP's 'heartache'

Carrie Bradshaw's bad luck with men appears to be contagious, if Grazia's cover is any indication.

The magazine leads with last week's claims Sarah Jessica Parker's husband cheated on her with a 25-year-old youth worker.

On the heels of Peaches Geldof's alleged 'overdose', the magazine asks: 'Are her mother's demons becoming her own?'

Branding her reported behaviour 'pure Paula', the publication ponders if the teen has inherited the late star's  'urge to press the self-destruct button'.

Just don't tell Peaches that - she's just being 'creative' (see Heat).

Elsewhere, Jennifer Aniston and boyfriend John Mayer have started planning a future together. The singer is said to be gearing up to move into the former Friends star's £7.5 million Beverly Hills mansion for a 'trial marriage'.

AND THE REST...

New! Cover.jpg

New focuses on the dramatic turns in Cheryl Cole, SJP and Amy Winehouse's lives

Now magazine fears - yet again - for skinny Posh while actress Natalie Cassidy says she regrets dieting.

Reveal looks at celebrity parenting with Charlotte Church and Britney Spears both opting for 'tough love'.

New makes us civilians feel a little better by highlighting celebrity lives in tatters. Stand up, Amy Winehouse, Cheryl Cole and SJP.

And as a special treat but for reasons still unclear, the magazine features Coronation Street's onscreen couple David Platt and Tina McIntyre recreating Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's Mr & Mrs Smith poster.

More agony for 'betrayed' Sarah Jessica Parker's in Look, with the magazine also focusing on claims that Britney's mother killed a 12-year-old dominate the front cover.

Star claims Simon Cowell's relationship with long-term girlfriend Terri Seymour hit the rocks and their six year relationship may be over for good.

But two still tangoing are Jordan and husband Peter Andre, who are are said to be 'in talks' for an appearance on Strictly Come Dancing.

With that fake tan and penchant for sparkles, who could be better? And Jordan will be fine too.
