Being married to a national hero, WAG Alex Curran relished the opportunity of playing a villain - if only for one night.

The 25-year-old clearly had a sense of humour as she arrived at a friend's fancy dress party dressed as Batman villain The Riddler.

The masked wife of England and Liverpool footballer Steven Gerrard looked stunning in the saucy green outfit she wore to the bash in Liverpool on Saturday.

But after her night of villainous partying, gorgeous Alex was back to her usual self today when she stepped out for a spot of shopping.

Last month, proud Alex watched her midfielder husband receive an university honorary fellowship at a graduation ceremony in Liverpool.

Steven was given the award by Liverpool John Moores University.

The 28-year-old, who collected an MBE last year, traded his football strip for a colourful gown and cap and showed off his award after the ceremony.
