Sunburned Sly Stallone, 62, shows off his buff body... and his wife's not bad either

Updated 18:21pm on 4 Aug 2008

Hollywood hardman Sylvester Stallone appeared to be a touch overcooked as he sported his two giant shoulder tattoos on board retail entrepreneur Philip Green's luxury yacht.

The veteran Rocky star had clearly overdosed on the sun-seeking and looked red-raw as he enjoyed a holiday with his family in the Balearic island of Formentera.

And his wife, former model Jennifer Flavin also caught the attention in a tight-fitting white shirt.

The couple, who have been married for 11 years, lapped up the sunshine in their uber-cool surroundings.

Stallone's massive shoulder art complimented his incredible set of bulging veins.

The trendy tattoos are the latest addition in the actor's never-ending quest to retain his youthful looks.

And for a man in his sixties, Stallone still cuts a dashing figure.

But the ravages of time are slowly creeping up on the Rocky star as his incredible bulging veins reveal.

Dressed in shorts and a black T-shirt and baseball cap, the 62-year-old looked as musclebound as usual on a popular Formentera beach.

A legendary fitness fanatic for over 30 years, Stallone rigorous exercise regime is apparently starting to take its toll on his body.

The hulking actor is enjoying a break in the Mediterranean with family and friends including retail entrepreneur Philip Green.

In the past two years, Stallone has pushed his body to the limit to look the part when reprising his most famous roles in Rocky Balboa and Rambo, both of which he also scripted and directed.

He's 60 his wife's 40. how many people look tha tgood at 60 and that hot at 40
not many, now who cares how they do it or why the fact is that these people are not allowing age to creep up and get them like the rest of the people
They have found the fountain of youth.

The veins have NOTHING to do with aging but rather the fact that the man is very muscular, and muscular body parts have protruding veins at low body fat levels like Sly's. And who said his weight lifting is taking a negative effect on his body? The man is in amazing shape for ANYONE of ANY age. He has no joint problems that he's ever spoke of, and still looks strong and young.

Weights are not the primary cause, My guess is that he did something to bulk up, with bigger muscles veins grew to support them, now with age muscles get smaller and the veins stay behind. If he would have lifted weights without any substance his muscles would have been smaller and the muscles would remain for a longer time. My uncle is 64 and he has muscles and veins but his veins are natural looking, not so wrinkled. Look at his chest on the latest rocky movie. Also it looks like Sly has very little body fat, whether natural or not I let you decide, but with less fat veins will show more.

Please, lets get some fact straight, could we? Those bulging veins are the sign of too much lifting of weights. Nothing to do with ageing.
