Orlando Bloom could barely contain his admiration for his friend Tracey Emin as she launched a new show in Edinburgh.

The 31-year-old got cosy with the controversial artist as she unveiled her first major retrospective, Tracey Emin: 20 years.

The pair looked in high spirits as they shared a giggle, a cuddle and a friendly kiss at the show's opening.

Fit of giggles: Tracey clearly knows how to tickle Orlando's funny bone

Other friends who turned up to support Emin included Sam Taylor- Wood and author Ian Rankin.

The National Gallery of Modern Art’s exhibition displays two decades of her work including such iconic numbers as The Bed, the piece that catapulted the Margate-born artist to fame when it was first unveiled at the Tate Gallery in 1999.

Also on show are other personal items such as old dental charts and personal correspondence.

Give us a kiss: The chummy pair enjoy a friendly smooch

'By Wednesday this week,' confessed Emin, 'I opened a paper and saw my face in and thought, ugh. I couldn’t take any more of myself.'

Perhaps Orlando would beg to differ Tracey.
