He made his name starring in intelligent, quirky films such as Donnie Darko and Brokeback Mountain.
But Jake Gyllenhaal is drastically broadening his horizons with his latest movie - as well as his chest.
The actor stunned onlookers on the Moroccan set of the upcoming film Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time when he walked around bare-chested holding the hand of his girlfriend Reese Witherspoon.

The long-haired 27-year-old has clearly spent a lot of time in the gym in preparation for his role of Prince Dastan.
The film is based on the popular computer game about a sixth century prince, played by Gyllenhaal, who is conned by an evil wizard into unleashing the evil sands of time.
Oscar winner Ben Kingsley stars as the scheming wizard while the love interest is provided by new Bond girl Gemma Arterton.
Mike Newell, best known for making Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, is directing the movie.
