Just weeks after talk of a wedding began to surface, Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer have called it quits, reports in the U.S. claim today.
The former Friends star, 39, and Mayer have reportedly split because the 30-year-old musician can't commit to the relationship as much as the actress would like.
The pair, who started dating earlier this year, opted for a trial separation earlier this week.

A source told People.com: 'They had a great time together but they are just in different places in their lives right now.'
But a friend of Mayer's told the website the couple could reconcile at some point in the near future.
He said: 'He never ends things with a clean slate. He likes to dwell on these relationships and sort everything out before saying goodbye for good.'

Since her 2005 divorce from Brad Pitt, who left her for his Mr and Mrs Smith co-star Angelina Jolie after four years of marriage, Aniston has yet to find a suitable partner to settle down with.
She dated comic actor Vince Vaughn, who she met on the set of The Break-Up in 2005, for nearly a year before having a brief relationship with British model Paul Sculfor.
Mayer, meanwhile, has dated a string of beauties including Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jessica Simpson.
