With so many twists and turns it's hard to keep up with Kelly Brook and Billy Zane's tumultuous relationship.

But the ex-Strictly Come Dancing star claims their latest break-up is for good this time.

The 28-year-old ended the four-year relationship with her Hollywood beau in an emotional phone call last week, it has emerged.

She is reported to have told friends there is 'no going back' on the split this time after a series of short-lived break-ups.

Kelly's publicist confirmed the split but made no comment.

A source told the Daily Mirror: 'They're still the best of friends but any romantic spark has well and truly gone.

'It's really sad but there's no one else involved.'

Bye bye Billy: Kelly is said to be looking forward to single life

The couple have had a somewhat rocky relationship, having split on a couple of occasions previously.

They had originally planned a marriage at their multi-million pound farmhouse in Kent last year, but split in November after the death of Kelly's father Kenneth Parsons.

However in January the couple were back together and appeared happier than ever as they frolicked on the beach on a romantic holiday in St Barts.

But before long the wedding was off again with Kelly announcing in April that she was too young to marry at the age of 28.

Billy was said to be broken-hearted, but Kelly was back by his side in May at Cannes as he promoted his movie The Man Who Came Back.

In June the couple announced they were back together and in July the former Big Breakfast presenter was wearing her £35,000 engagement ring again fuelling rumours the marriage was back on.

However this time Kelly claims the break up is final and she won't be getting back with 42-year-old Billy.

The Mirror's source said: 'She's glad she got back together with him to give things another go. She was desperate to save their relationship but, at the end of the day, it just wasn't to be.

'They're both comfortable with the situation and Kelly seems to be quite looking forward to being a single girl again.'

And it seems she is already  enjoying the single life since last week's split.

The 28-year-old went on a shopping spree at top London store Selfridges, enlisting the help of a personal shopper to help her spend £3,000 on a new wardrobe.
