Singer Prince may have to update his fruit-inspired hit Raspberry Beret in honour of Mrs Beckham's latest look.

The former Spice Girl stepped out in a strawberry print orange dress as the Beckhams arrived at Los Angeles airport with two of their sons.

Despite the sunny style of her frock, Victoria, 34, failed to raise a smile, looking as glum as ever as she walked into the airport.

It was an uncharacteristically dressed-down look for the fashionista, and for once, she looked in tune with a typically casual David Beckham, 33, who wore a checked shirt and jeans.

But although she may have compromised on her usual daytime glamour, there was no movement on her trademark five-inch heels.

The 34-year-old, who is never seen in public without towering stilettos on her feet, says she also avoids the gym because she can't bear to be in trainers.

And she recently explained that she 'just can't concentrate in flats'.

The couple flew back to England this weekend to throw a surprise dinner party for David's father Ted’s 60th birthday.

Beckham Senior celebrated his 60th at Romford Golf club in Essex with his family in late July, but his famous son and daughter-in-law were notable by their absence.

David’s father, who suffered a heart attack last year, was said to be upset when his son and Victoria, could not attend.

‘David couldn’t come over last month because of football commitments,’ said a family friend.

‘But now the whole family have travelled to the UK and they have planned a birthday dinner for Ted.’
