It's not the first celebrity pairing to raise eyebrows.

But the sight of  Jodie Marsh puckering up to former deputy PM John Prescott is surely number one in the top ten list of bizarre celebrity hook-ups. 

The heavily made-up glamour model and MP were seen leaving the Wellington Club in London together. 

Marsh and Prescott happily posed together, and the model who is best known for flashing her assets in racy outfits even gave him a big smacker on the mouth.

Thankfully, the sometime model was dressed rather more demurely than she is usually inclined to.

Even covering up her surgically enhanced 32G chest with a glamorous black satin top.

While Prezza  looked like the cat who had got the cream, as he beamed from ear to ear as he enjoyed the company of his new friend.

Now in the twilight of his political career, Prescott appears to be keen to pursue a career in television.

The pair were filming together over dinner at the Wellington Club for Prescott's BBC2 documentary on the British class system.

He has appeared on chef Gordon Ramsay's F Word show, and is currently making a documentary exploring the British class system for BBC2.

Yesterday, Prescott spoke about his frustration at his public image as a 'bumbling, incompetent bully'  and admitted he had made mistakes.

But stepping out with Jodie Marsh may not be the best way to go to change that.

Prescott's reputation took a battering when it was revealed he had been having an affair with his former secretary Tracy Temple.

However, now he is embracing the media and he has told Mail columnist Richard Kay that he doesn't want to become Baron Prescott of Hull, and join the House of Lords.

Prescott told Kay: 'I don't want to be a member of the House of Lords. I won't accept it.

'Being a Lord is not for three years or four years it is for life.

'There are other things I want to get involved in.'  Quite.
