Actress Mischa Barton appeared to be losing her battle with cellulite as she took a walk with her two dogs Charlie and Ziggy in Los Angeles.

The 22-year-old actress – sporting a red floral dress - revealed her dimpled thighs during the early-morning stroll.

The former O.C’s star’s representative has previously claimed that paparazzi photos showing her legs dimpled with cellulite while sunbathing were retouched.

But recent pictures of the star seem to indicate that she is indeed a victim of the dreaded-condition which affects millions of women.

Down-to-earth Mischa has been unfazed by the fuss caused by her curves.

'My boyfriend (rocker Taylor Locke) loves them. So whatever works!', said Barton.

'I eat really healthy, I work out.

'We work out and we eat healthy and we do what we do, I feel very comfortable. I come from a European family that’s always very comfortable with their bodies.

'Everybody has things that they are conscious of that they don’t like, but any girl — I talk about this with my girlfriends all the time.

'You are what you are as a woman.'

'I’ve never claimed to have a perfect body, but it is what it is.

'I have a woman’s body. I have hips and boobs so it goes straight there, which I don’t mind because it gives me curves.'

Last year it seemed as though Mischa was struggling to put spoilt teen Marissa Cooper, who she played in teen drama The OC, behind her, after she was arrested for driving under the influence.

The actress was sentenced to three years probation and to complete a three-month course in alcohol education after pleading no contest to drink driving charges in April.
