The sky's the limit for Jan Leeming as she flies with aerobatic display team

Updated 17:59pm on 23 Aug 2008

Jan Leeming has already shown her daredevil spirit after she agreed to be shut in a box with snakes and sky dive on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here.

But the adventurous 66-year-old has gone one further and flown with a team of ex-Red Arrow pilots called The Blades during a spectacular aerobatic display.

Jan Leeming was thrilled with her stomach-churning experience

Leading from the front, Jan joined team leader, Andy Offer, who took her on a whirlwind journey of daring dives and loops.

'I simply wanted to go on and on forever,' the former news presenter said.

'We did 4 Loops, 2 Barrel Rolls, a Half Corkscrew and flew Upside Down.  Words fail me as to how wonderful it felt - I really did feel like a bird.'

The Blades perform in air shows all around the country and have 15,000 hours of military flying between them. They are preparing for the Shoreham Airshow, which will take place from 29 to 31 of August.

As for Jan, she will no doubt continue with her daring lifestyle, including her volunteer work with a cheetah conservation charity in South Africa.
