Girls Aloud member Nicola Roberts made a rather startling contrast to the rest of the group as they performed a raunchy set at a one-off concert in Hastings.

The 22-year-old shone ghostly white in the glare of the flashbulbs, and looked particularly pale while alongside her tanned bandmates Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nadine Coyle.

The girls – who looked stunning in gold sequinned mini-dresses and fishnet tights -   completed a sold out arena tour earlier this year after the release of their smash hit album Tangled Up.

Meanwhile it was reported today that group are planning to recruit a sixth member through a TV talent show.

The band will audition thousands of hopefuls as part of a series which will be screened next year, according to The Sunday Mirror.

All five members will reportedly make up the judging panel and choose a girl to join them on stage for a live show.

Soon to be six? The girls are reportedly planning to recruit a sixth member through a TV talent show

'The girls have never forgotten that reality TV gave them their break. Now they want to give someone else the chance to enjoy a taste of the success they have enjoyed.’ An insider is quoted as saying.

‘The winner will get to perform with the group on stage during a one-off concert, but the girls hope they’ll be able to discover a hidden talent who could join the band as a fully paid-up member.

‘The girls have a huge amount of commitments outside the band. It makes sense to look for someone who can stand in if one of them can’t make a show.’
