Big Brother's Lisa feels 'complete' after accepting Mario's surprise proposal

Updated 22:52pm on 25 Aug 2008

Big Brother's Lisa has told housemates she is the happiest woman on the planet after accepting Mario's proposal.

The bodybuilder was left stunned on Sunday after her partner Mario appeared on a heart-shaped plinth in the garden to propose.

She excitedly replied, "Yes yes yes yes yes!" and could not stop staring at her engagement ring for the rest of the day.

I do: The moment Lisa says yes to Mario's surprise proposal

Later sitting on the platform Mario proposed on, Lisa told Mikey: "I feel complete and happy.

"I will never forget that feeling and I will treasure it for the rest of my life, the man I love proposing."

She proceeded to describe how she has in the past been unlucky in love, but in Mario she has found her best friend and a man she can imagine growing old with.

Dashing: Mario's silent proposal involved a series of cards as he got down on one knee in the garden

"I think I'm on another planet at the minute, do you know what I mean?" she asked.

Mikey nodded, before marvelling at how odd it was Mario appeared just as Lisa was telling the others the story of how she and the 42-year-old met.

Lisa then told the others she would invite them all to her wedding - but she soon had to calm them down as they got carried away making marriage plans, speculating the ceremony would take place later in the evening.

Celebration: After accepting, the couple kiss through the glass

"Let's not get carried away now," she said, "I've only just got engaged."

"You don't get engaged and married on the same day," insisted Mikey.

Darnell groaned: "Not another wedding.

"I don't think I could take another one!"
