Uma Thurman's romance with financier fiancé Arpad 'Arki' Busson is going just swimmingly, judging by their latest dalliance.

The pair slipped off for a moonlight swim while holidaying together in Italy, exchanging kisses as they cooled off from the hot summer night.

Earlier the couple, who have spent time with Irish actor Liam Neeson and his wife Natasha Richardson during their European jaunt, had enjoyed a romantic dinner together.

The pair announced their plans to wed in the personal columns of The Times earlier this year, followed by an engagement party of stellar proportions.

A marquee in the garden of Arki's £10million Kensington home played host to an array of stars, including Elton John, Sting, Sir Philip Green, Jemima Khan, Claudia Schiffer and Damien Hirst. 

She met the 45-year-old financier and philanthropist at a dinner party in Milan last summer, having just split up from her partner of three years, the New York hotelier Andre Balazs.

The star had also endured three years of being stalked by a psychiatric patient in her native New York, and prior to that the collapse of her marriage to fellow actor Ethan Hawke, with whom she has a daughter, Maya, nine, and a son, Levon, six.

Arki's relationship with Uma follows nine years with the Australian model Elle Macpherson, with whom he has two sons, Flynn, ten, and Cy, five.

The Pulp Fiction actress hasn't ruled out having children with Arki.

She said: 'If it's meant to happen, it will. I love and adore being a mother.'

In the meantime, Uma says she is looking forward to married life again.

She reveals: 'I crave structure. I've never had good habits or a formula for how to shape a day, a month, a life, I appreciate anything that makes me focus.'
