Kylie's night out with Scissor Sisters gay icon Jake Spears

Updated 18:40pm on 30 Aug 2008

Pop princess Kylie Minogue stepped out of Nobu in Mayfair last night after dinner with friends, including Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Spears.

She was seen dropping off a female friend at the Hilton Hotel before returning home.

Clutching a small crocheted handbag and wearing a green tunic dress with turquoise beads, and silver peep-toe high heels, Kylie was smiling as she left the fashionable restaurant with Spears.

It was also rumoured she was at Nobu with Aston Villa striker John Carew, although the pair were not photographed together.

Minogue and Spears have been good friends for a number of years.

The flamboyant frontman helped write Minogue's 2004 hit single I Believe In You.

He also wrote a song for Minogue after being inspired by her breast cancer battle.

She was diagnosed in May 2005 and made a full recovery.

Minogue is known for frequenting the trendy Japanese noshery Nobu. When she visited her home city of Melbourne earlier this year, the pint-sized star dined at Nobu at Crown twice in one week.

In good news for her Latino fans, Kylie has just announced that she will be on tour in South America in the Autumn - in addition to dates already planned for Australia and New Zealand.

The superstar's website says: 'After wowing audiences across Europe with her X2008 Tour earlier this Summer and confirming Australian dates for December, Kylie's pleased to announce that KylieX2008 is coming to South America, covering Peru, Chile and Argentina this November.'
