Olympians Sarah Webb, Sarah Ayton and Pippa Wilson have finally swapped their Team GB tracksuits for glamorous evening dresses.

Having just returned from Beijing, where they celebrated a gold medal in the Yngling sailing class, the girls got dressed up for a sexy photoshoot.

Posing in front of London Bridge, the blondes set pulses racing as they showed off their toned figures - and their medals.

Life has been a whirlwind since their win as they are looking forward to catching up with friends and family.

The girls are also relieved not to have to follow strictly controlled low fat diet for a while.

Sarah Webb told Hello!:'It does feel good to get out of that tracksuit, I feel a bit like I’ve lived in it for ever and I’m looking to getting dressed up a bit.'

Sarah Ayton added: 'I like it when someone else glams me up but, left to my own devices, I leave a lot to be desired.'

Pippa agrees: 'I don’t have a clue. I don’t know how to be in these kinds of clothes, especially the shoes. I’m not sure how to hold myself.'

Glamour: Rebecca Romero swaps her tracksuit for a gold evening gown

Sarah Webb told Hello!: 'It’s nice to go out for dinner and not to have to worry to much but it’s funny, the foods you think you crave you don’t give much thought to once you can have them.

'I kept thinking I wanted cheese while in China, but I haven’t touched it since I‘ve been back. As for exercise, I can’t wait to get my trainers back on and go for a run in Richmond Park  - we’ve been too busy since we got back. I’m not good without exercise.'

Sarah Ayton agreed: 'I get really agitated if I don’t exercise. We were eating a low-fat, controlled carbohydrate diet and that discipline becomes ingrained in you.

'What it has taught me is that it’s not about dieting but healthy eating. I love a bit of chocolate and Weymouth has great fish and chip shops. But I won’t go mad. I can’t – I’ve got a wedding dress to fit into!'

Winning formula: Nicole Cooke shows off her medal

Cyclist Rebecca Romero also took part in the shoot - donning a stunning gold dress teamed with high heels.

Rebecca, 28, is the first British woman to win an Olympic medal in two different sports – her first was a silver in the rowing regatta at the 2004 Athens Games.

Rebecca has won a gold medal in half the time of most athletes. She only moved into cycling  two and a half years ago and decided to go for gold just 18 months ago.

She said: 'The focus has been intense, and my drive and desire have seemed overly obsessive. If I’d have gone to my first World Championships and only come sixth or tenth it might not have been so strong.

'But I came second and I could see it was there on a plate, so I made the decision to throw everything at it for 18 months.'

Her determination however cost her in ways she’s now starting to understand.

The Golden Girls Olympic special is in this week's Hello! magazine

As a result of the intensive training, she split up with her boyfriend Nick, also a rower, and they sold their house when she moved to Manchester.

Rebecca said: 'Every relationship goes through bad patches and I wasn’t living the lifestyle that enabled me to focus on it and put it right.

'He was a rower but not at my level and was coming to terms with the fact that he wasn’t going to achieve his dreams, while I was being given the chance in cycling,'

'I’ve spent ten years as a full-time athlete and I’ve explored myself as Rebecca the athlete. Now it’s time to develop a more balanced lifestyle.'

Nicole Cooke, was also photographed as part of Olympic spread, looking demure in a black outfit.

Of all Britain’s gold medals at the Beijing Games though, Nicole's win in the women’s road race was perhaps the most dramatic.

Cycling for three and a half hours in torrential rainstorms and treacherous conditions along a 78-mile mountainous route with grueling hill climbs.

Nicole, 25, who’d paced herself for much of the ride, raced to the front in a sprint at the end, winning by less than a bike’s length.

Originally from Cardiff but now living in Switzerland, she is the first British female to win a gold in cycling in Olympic history.

She said: 'The buzzing feeling is still buzzing strong.'
