We all know Amy Winehouse enjoys a good drinking session.

But 48 bottles of Jack Daniel's over three days must be a record even for the troubled star.

The recovering heroin addict ordered two crates of the 40 per cent whiskey for a weekend gig, according to the Sun newspaper.

Staff at the Bestival event in the Isle of Wight where Amy is due to perform tomorrow, are said to be stunned by the 24-year-old's excessive drinks order.

A Bestival source told the Sun: 'It's common for artists to make requests for food and beverages before they arrive.

'But organisers have heard Miss Winehouse has ordered a ridiculous amount of Jack Daniel's, in fact she and her team could not possibly consume during their short stay.

'Everyone is really excited about getting Amy to perform here, and naturally there are now fears she is planning something wild.

'With Amy's record this can mean failure to perform or giving a shambolic performance.

'Whiskey is better than heroin - but not 48 bottles of the stuff.'

The huge drinks order has sparked fears that Amy may not be fit to perform at the festival tomorrow.

She is already facing legal action after dropping out headlining a concert in Paris at the last minute.
