She may have been heavily pregnant and wearing suede stiletto boots, but that didn't stop Louise Redknapp heading on to the pitch at the Soccer Aid match at Wembley Stadium last night.

Thankfully the singer was not there to kick the ball, instead she interviewed the celebrities and football legends who took part  to raise money for United Nations children's charity Unicef.

The former Eternal star braved the cold night air to keep up an enthusiastic pitch side commentary for ITV. And despite her full-length beige coat and long zebra-print scarf her huge bump was clearly visible.

The 33-year-old is currently expecting her second son with her footballer husband Jamie Redknapp.

The brainchild of singer Robbie Williams, the match was expected to raise over £1m to go towards things such as health, education and medicine in 190 countries worldwide.

Two teams - England and Rest Of The World - made up of a mix of non-sporting celebrities and professional or ex-professional footballers, battled it out for 90 minutes on the famed football pitch. In total 34 celebrities took to the pitch.

England eventually just got the better of Rest Of The World, pulling one goal ahead to clinch victory at 4-3 after Alan Shearer scored a hat-trick of goals in the 45th, 61st and 80th minutes.

The triumphant England team also included Angus Deayton, Ben Shephard, Craig David, Jamie Redknapp, Chris Fountain, Alan Shearer, Jamie Theakston and Gareth Gates.

Playing for Rest Of The World were Gordon Ramsay, Westlife's Nicky Byrne and Brian McFadden, Alastair Campbell and Patrick Kielty.

Craig David was named Man of the Match and was showered in champagne by his delighted teammates.

Gordon Ramsay, who left the pitch injured after only 10 minutes, said he was 'gutted' he did not complete the match but added 'The real winners tonight are Unicef.'
