Halle Berry showed once again that motherhood is her best look as she arrived at the Calvin Klein 40th anniversary party in a stunning blue dress that showed off her trim post-baby body.

The 42-year-old, who gave birth to daughter Nahla in March, attended the bash with partner Gabriel Aubry, 32.

The twice-married actress once announced on the Oprah Winfrey Show that she would not tie the knot a third time.

She said: 'I will never marry again. I have a good healthy love for myself and love in my life. I no longer feel the need to be someone's wife and I don't need the validation of a marriage certificate.'

However the unmissable sparkler that she has been wearing on her wedding finger in recent weeks has left onlookers wondering if she had changed her mind.

Berry met French-Canadian model Aubry on the set of a Versace advertisement shoot two years ago.

Speaking in May, Halle said she believed motherhood would transform her career.

 'I feel having a baby will open up a whole new world for me. I think I'll actually find better roles, because I've gotten past being the ingenue and sex symbol,' she said.

'I'm definitely going to work less. I used to put so much pressure on myself to succeed that it often made me very unhappy in my personal life. I felt on the verge of burning out three or four years ago.’
