Sneak peek: Garbage singer Shirley Manson plays terrifying Terminator in new TV series

Updated 19:06pm on 9 Sep 2008

She found fame as the lead singer of British band Garbage, but now Shirley Manson is a fully-fledged actress, with a starring role in a major US TV series.

These tantalising photos show Manson, who stars in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, morphing from a disguise as a urinal into a terminator.

In the dramatic scenes that follow, her character is then seen killing an employee.

Shirley's role will be a series regular in the second season, due to air in the US later this autumn. Lena Headey stars as Sarah Connor in the show.

Excellent. Good luck to her. She's in Garbage and risen to Hollywoodland fame whereas most budding actresses crave Hollywood fame and end up in garbage. Or something.
