Now it's Mel B's turn to shine at Fashion Week... but unlike Posh she's on the catwalk

The Spice Girls are causing quite a stir at New York Fashion Week.

First Victoria Beckham set tongues wagging when she revealed her daring new haircut.

Then Mel B turned heads when she dazzled in sexy Ultimo underwear... but unlike Posh Spice Mel B actually got to strut her stuff on the catwalk.

Strutting her stuff: Mel B models a corset with Ultimo creator Michelle Mone at New York's Metropolitan Pavilion today

Wearing a skintight purple corset from the lingerie range the 32-year-old revealed her stunning figure and plenty of her ample cleavage.

But the former Spice Girl stopped short of modelling the undergarments - opting instead for a tight-fitting black pencil skirt and high heels.

Husband, 32-year-old film producer Stephen Belafonte, looked on proudly as she took her turn with the models on the runway.

Michelle Mone, 36, co-founder of MJM International and creator of Ultimo, said: 'The show was a huge success and Mel looked incredible.

Revealing: The underwear showed off Mel's shapely figure

'The auditorium was jam-packed and everyone was really impressed with the collection, so I couldn’t be happier. I just can’t believe it’s all over.'

Mel B, the current face and body of Ultimo, said: 'The show was fantastic. I was so nervous, but as soon as I stepped out on to the catwalk the nerves went out the window.

'All the girls looked great in the lingerie and did Ultimo and Michelle proud - it was a great day.'

Other highlights of the show, attended by the crème de la crème of the fashion world, included a guest appearance from US Olympian swimmer Amanda Beard and models clad in mini-tartan kilts.

The show took place at New York’s historic Metropolitan Pavilion.

Other designers to appear at this week’s event include DKNY, Philip Lim, Diesel Black Gold, Hervé Léger and Rock & Republic.

Since launching in 1999, Ultimo has become the biggest designer lingerie brand in the UK.

Mel signed a deal with the underwear label in April this year, following in the footsteps of ex-Ultimo stars Sarah Harding, 26, of Girls Aloud, and Penny Lancaster, 36.

Of course Victoria Beckham made sure she got her share of the limelight at New York Fashion Week.

As well as shocking onlookers with her new ultra-short hairstyle, she launched her first fashion collection based entirely upon her own personal style to a handful of fashion's elite editors.
