Updated 17:00pm on 10 Sep 2008

What Not To Wear host Trinny Woodall may be television's doyenne of style, but last night Liz Hurley's daring fashion choice stole the show as they enjoyed an evening together in London.

The firm friends dined at the Dorchester's China Tang restaurant along with Liz's husband Arun Nayar.

Stealing the spotlight: All eyes were on Liz Hurley as she enjoyed an evening out with Trinny Woodall in London last night

All eyes were on 43-year-old's plunge-neck little black dress, while Trinny, 44, opted for a demure shift frock trimmed with this season's must-have accessory - a peplum.

Across town, Liz's former boyfriend and close friend Hugh Grant was celebrating his 48th birthday with a different ex, heiress Jemima Khan.

Getting to grips: Liz's husband Arun accompanied the model on her night out

Meanwhile, the model gearing up to return to television screens with a new reality show about her life on her farm in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Of the new show, she says: 'People always imagine me with perfect hair. But that’s not who I am.'

'The first time he saw me in the country, my husband found me in wellies, covered in mud.'
