Singer Katy Perry has got a new crush. The I Kissed A Girl singer has revealed she's fallen in love with the city of London, and is planning to buy a home in the capital.

The 23-year Californian has been on a whistlestop tour of the UK, and has clearly been enjoying the sights and sounds of the city.

Katy revealed her plans following her highly anticipated debut show at tiny venue Water Rats Theatre in Kings Cross last night.

She told the crowd: 'Thanks for popping my cork, London, it's been really messy. I love this city and I want to get a flat here.'

Despite being at Number One with her hit song for five weeks, the raunchy singer played in front of a sold out audience of just 200 people. 

The curvy brunette took to the stage wearing a cleavage baring red top and black high-waisted shirts in her signature - and soon to be much copied - retro style.

As well as performing forthcoming single Hot N’Cold, the other highlight was the saucy I Kissed A Girl, which she launched into after pretending to be on the phone to her mother, a religious woman who has condemned the song’s message and Katy’s recent onstage kiss with a female fan.

Earlier this week she was seen enjoying a piggyback with flamboyant singer Mika at the Serpentine Gallery's summer party in London's Hyde Park.

But those fans that misssed out on her performance, she's set to return later this month, to play the much larger Scala in Kings Cross.
