Getting lippy: Mick and Meg step out sporting matching 'his and hers' trout pouts

Mick Jagger has always been famed for his generous pout.

However when Hollywood actress Meg Ryan joined the crumbly rocker at the premiere of her latest film she bore an eerie resemblance to the Rolling Stone.

The pair appeared to be in (lip)sync with each other in New York this week at the after-party of her film, The Women.

While Jagger's signature lips are so renowned they inspired the Rolling Stones' famous tongue and lips logo, Meg Ryan is a relative newcomer to the trout pout hall of fame.

Spot the difference: Meg Ryan could pass for Jagger's daughter

In recent months America's former sweetheart has been unfavourably compared with Britain's own hall of fame inductee, Men Behaving Badly actress Leslie Ash.

Both women sport blonde hair-dos and an unflattering pumped-up, joker smile - thought to be the result of an allergic reaction to collagen implants.

Meanwhile, the Rolling Stones frontman's own lips made the Victoria and Albert Museum's permanent collection earlier this month.

The band's logo was snapped up by the London institution for just under £51,000 at auction in the US.

Created by student John Pasche in 1970, the pop art design was partly inspired by the distinctive shape of Jagger's own mouth.

The image was first used on the Stones' Sticky Fingers album and has been in continuous use by the band ever since.
