Cilla and Jo hit the town

Updated 12:47pm on 18 Sep 2008

Cilla Black was more "blind drunk" than Blind Date last night as she hit the town after London Fashion Week. Fresh from her jaunt on the catwalk for Naomi Campbell's Fashion For Relief show, the 65-year-old national treasure really let her red hair down and showed the young crowd a thing or two about how to make a spectacle of yourself.

Ronnie Wood's wife Jo was also with Cilla at Bungalow 8 in Covent Garden, and the 53-year-old drank and danced with her 30-year-old daughter Leah. If Jo was still concerned about her Rolling Stone husband's philandering ways, she certainly wasn't showing it.

Cilla set the bar high by appearing tipsy before she'd even hit the catwalk at the Natural History Museum at 8pm.

She joked with us that the shoes she was told to wear were so painful that she was thinking of hitting the catwalk barefoot.

Thankfully she didn't, and she wowed the audience with her long pins. She then wowed clubbers at Bungalow 8 by laying into the Moet et Chandon champers and dancing with half a dozen guys who were all less than half her age.

Our spy said: "She was in great spirits and a real laugh. She was very drunk, and at one point had to be sat down by her friends. But she was brilliant, obligingly saying her catchphrase 'surprise surprise' to a fellow partygoer when asked."

Jo and Leah were hardly in Cilla's shadow, and our spy said: "It was great to see Jo letting her hair down and partying as though she didn't have a care in the world. She and Leah were with several guys, and ended up getting up onto their stools and dancing on them."

Sounds like the usual party crowd could learn a thing or two from the old masters.
