Cheryl is London's catwalk queen

Pop princess Cheryl Cole was crowned queen of the catwalk last night as she strutted her stuff in a dazzling red dress and sparkling tiara.

At the Fashion for Relief charity show, the Girls Aloud singer flashed her new £160,000 diamond ring showing the world her love for Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole

It is the second time this week she has shown off the rock, believed to be a replacement for the heart-shaped £150,000 engagement ring she has not worn since January after her husband allegedly cheated on her.

Cheryl, 25 , in a dress with cutaway panels, was among celebrities who modelled at the Natural History Museum event. She received the loudest cheer from a sympathetic crowd concerned about her marriage woes. Her catwalk composure contrasted with the Sugababes' Heidi Range, who was red-faced after losing a shoe.

Singer Estelle strutted to her hit American Boy while drag queen Jodie Harsh threw out good taste by wearing the evening's shortest dress. But it was Cilla Black, 65, who stole the show. The former Blind Date host sashayed down the catwalk in an Yves Saint Laurent shirt, top hat and tails - and little else.

Fashion for Relief was part of London Fashion Week to raise funds for The White Ribbon Alliance safe motherhood charity, of which Sarah Brown, the Prime Minister's wife, is patron. Others modelling included organiser Naomi Campbell, Tracey Emin and Kimberly Stewart.
