Perhaps the 26-year-old wanted to hide her travel fatigue from waiting photographers. Of course, she recently said she was sick of LA and wanted to live in the Big Apple - so she might have been trying to hide from angry LA residents. Either way, she has ingratiated herself to New York locals by donating more than £5,000 to a Bronx school's music programme.

In other Britney news, her cousin and former assistant Alli Sims has been barred from contacting the singer. Alli has been accused by Britney's father of trying to profit from her position. Alli said: "I have no idea when I'll see her again. I miss her every day. When her dad gained control, he put some rules down... My main concern is her being okay."
