The old 'block way to the ladies' routine

Updated 13:31pm on 7 Oct 2008

Like an old crocodile lurking in a watering hole, waiting to snare an unsuspecting gazelle, Tom Jones positions himself outside the ladies'.

He knows that, sooner or later, they will have to come to him - and then he can turn on his legendary charm.

The 68-year-old burning hunk of love loitered outside the loos at the Shepherds Tavern after the Q Awards, and it wasn't long before he snared a female.

Old smoothie: Tom Jones snakes an arm around Cerys Matthews' waist

He captured the attention of his Welsh pal Cerys Matthews, and it was enough to lure her away from the drunken advances of Kaiser Chief Ricky Wilson.

Hand in hand: Tom and Cerys leave the Shepherds Tavern last night

It wasn't long before the trademark Tom Jones hand was around her waist, and the two later left the pub hand in hand and shared a cab together at the end of the evening.

Farewell(sh): The Welsh duo share a cab at the end of the night

Of course, the two are old friends, so we're sure it was purely innocent.

Yeuk - a face full of lifts and full of tango together with a shirt all sweat marked - definitely not one for the girls. How revolting does Tom Jones look.
