Paris is a diva in the mist

Updated 13:15pm on 8 Oct 2008

The Paris Hilton circus rolled into town yesterday, and it didn't take her long to put some noses out of joint with some diva-like behaviour.

Diva in town: Paris comes to London

She went to Whisky Mist in Mayfair, where she insisted on having her table in the VIP section roped off so the proles couldn't get near her. Bear in mind that this is where Princes William and Harry like to hang out - and they have never asked for treatment like that. Naturally, Paris's request ruffled a few feathers. She began her night by heading to Guy Ritchie and Madonna's pub The Punch Bowl in Mayfair at 10pm - because, like, y'know, like, it's a totally like Bridish pub. There was no sign of her boyfriend Benji Madden as she enjoyed a few drinks before heading to the Mayfair nightclub.

Mobbed: Paris causes a paparazzi scrum outside Whisky Mist

It was the popular Committee night at the club, and many of the regulars were peeved at her special treatment. Two bouncers flanked her roped off area, and our spy overheard one member of staff saying: "She's such a dick. They don't even do this for Prince William or Harry." The spy added: "She wasn't even drinking alcohol, she stuck to bottles of Fiji water all night. But she was still dancing and singing away - standing on the seats at one point."

The hotel heiress is filming a reality show in the US called Paris Hilton my New BFF [Best Friend Forever] - with hopefuls battling it out to be her new best pal. With behaviour like that, she may not get any takers.
