Where is Nicola?

Updated 12:40pm on 9 Oct 2008

Girls Aloud stars Kimberley Walsh and Cheryl Cole were guests at a celebrity bash last night - but their bandmate Nicola Roberts was a noticeable absentee. The likely reason managed to squeeze through the door in the form of motormouth Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles. The pair fell out after Chris began cruelly taunting Nicola on his breakfast show. So perhaps that's why she decided to stay away from the private party at Bourdon House in Davies Street.

Pearly whites: there's no doubting the mood of Kimberley Walsh last night

The rift began when Chris called her a "sour-faced old cow" who "never smiles". He continued: "She always looks peed off, like she doesn't want to be in the band."

Nemesis: Chris Moyles has had a public spat with Nicola Roberts

After Nicola objected to his remarks, he made an apology of sorts last month, saying: "I'm sorry for the negative comments aimed at you. I do still stand by the fact that, every time I've met you, you have been mardy toward me. But maybe I took it too far."

Nicola, 22, was obviously still upset as earlier this week she said: "I have bright red hair, pale skin and, yeah, I can be quite shy. But that doesn't mean I'm rude or miserable. Enough's enough, Chris. Shut the f**k up!" It's probably wise, then, that they weren't in the same room together last night. Also at the bash were Ronan Keating, Gary Barlow and Fearne Cotton.

Happy: Cheryl Cole at Bourdon House
