On the dancefloor he tends to get what he wants. But now it seems Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole has started to adopt the same attitude off-screen. We're told the 32-year-old threatened to pull out of a photoshoot unless organisers gave in to certain demands.

Dance partners: Brendan Cole and Lisa Snowdon

Our spy said: "Brendan was asked if he would like a blue Ferrari 360 Spider for the weekend, on the understanding that he then did a photoshoot for luxury car club Marque 2, which deals with the likes of Ferrari's, Jags and other fast cars - so he definitely had a good time.

"But when it came to sorting out details of the shoot, he threatened to pull out of the agreement unless he was given a year's membership to the luxury car club, which is worth £5,000. Strictly Come Dancing is now back on the screens and he believes that his profile has been raised since their initial discussion, so any pictures involving him would be worth more. Organisers were left shocked and so refused his demands."

Last year, Brendan was partnered with Kelly Brook on the popular TV show. But it was his partnership the year before with newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky that attracted all the attention. Speculation of a budding romance was rife after their obvious on-screen chemistry coincided with his high-profile split from his fiancée Camilla Dellerup.

Natasha was forced to hit out against claims that she was in love with the New Zealand-born dancer, denying any suggestion of an affair.

But just to be on the safe side Brendan's new girlfriend, 26-year-old model Zoe Hobbs, has reportedly sat in on rehearsal sessions with his current dance partner Lisa Snowdon.

Like Lisa Snowdon is likely to want to go any near Mr Cole. He's got about as much chance as I have with Daniel Craig. Well. Maybe....

Poor Lisa,...in the picture you she looks like she's about to wretch! What do these potential sponsor companies expect? The dancers on this show, and the judges for that matter, aren't doing it in the hopes of "re-invigorating" the nation's passion for ballroom - they're doing it to serve their own agendas...namely becoming a "celeb". Brendan Cole is so fame addicted (other than "Strictly" you only have to look at the number of rubbish reality shows that's he's participated in for proof) that I'm not surprised he's got delusions of grandeur. But his massive ego disguises the fact that we the audience know that he's really nothing more than a glorified, "back up" dancer!
