There was a star-studded turn out for the VIP screening of Ricky Gervais' latest movie, Ghost Town, at the Apollo cinema in Piccadilly.

The likes of Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr and Lionel Blair were in attendance to show their support for their Golden Globe winning friend.

Gervais plays Dr. Bertram Pincus, a top dentist with appalling people skills. When Pincus 'dies' during a routine medical procedure, but is miraculously revived after seven minutes, he leaves the hospital to discover that he now has the annoying ability to see ghosts. Even worse, they all want something from him, particularly Frank Herlihy (Greg Kinnear), who pesters him into attempting to break up the impending re-marriage of his widow Gwen (Téa Leoni).

'I'm here, you know,' said Ricky during the opening credits of the special screening. The audience made sure to laugh at the right moments.

During our chat with The Office star David Baddeal came over to say hello and tell us how excited he was about seeing the film. Shortly after he left, Richard Curtis joined in.

Rapper Dizzee Rascal was also keen to talk about his love of films and music.
