Kerry Katona faces the axe from Iceland after This Morning debacle

Kerry Katona faces the axe as the face of Iceland after her disastrous appearance on This Morning, in which she slurred her words and appeared in a confused state.

The former Atomic Kitten singer has fronted a successful ad campaign for the supermarket since 2005.

Confused: Katona downed wine before Jonathan Ross show

Iceland issued a statement saying it would stand by her.

A spokesman said: “Kerry is dependent on medication for her bipolar disorder and if this medication isn't taken at the right time it will result in her appearing disorientated and slurring her words.

“We were unaware of her appearance on This Morning and it is our opinion that Kerry should not have appeared on the programme.”

But insider reports suggested that bosses will end the 28-year-old's £250,000 deal after an email containing complaints from shoppers circulated Iceland's headquarters.

Last year Katona downed a glass of wine minutes before an interview with Jonathan Ross.

She was supposed to be talking about her autobiography but struggled to remember the name of her book.

I cant stand those 2 presenters. It was a glorious day when Phil Scholfield
left NZ to return to the UK. He is so cringing and annoying.

I did not see the programme and have not done so since the two presenters started their stupid giggling episodes and then of course there was the deceitful Fern Briton giving over weight people hope of losing weight naturally. The article in the Sunday Mail said Britton asked Kerry if she had a drink problem, she can talk, when I did watch the programme if there was food and drink on the menu she was always first in line. I can always remember her saying that when she had too much to drink she just fell over??? But of course that was a long time ago and perhaps she is more responsible now. I think Kerry should take them to task for the inhuman way they spoke to her and that Iceland should still employ her. After all Britton is still used for slimming products!!!!!! by Ryvita but does not convince me that they work.

So she should be sacked! She's not the role model mother she makes out to be, regardless of what it was she had been taking! Let the viewers decide says Beth. Well I think its been well documented that the viewers opinion sides with Fern and Philip.

They seem to be talking down to her. Let the viewers decide themselves.

Surely they would smell it on her breathe if she had been drinking. Maybe
she did have a sleeping tablet as these can affect you the next day. Fern and Phillip Scholfield seem quite nasty and controlling.

The most rotten thing to come out of all of this is that some people feel the need to look down their nose at someone they perceive to be weak.
